Terms of Service

Last updated: July 26, 2026

These terms cover your use of ListenPDF, a service that converts text-based PDFs and pasted text into audio you can listen to in your browser.

The service

ListenPDF extracts the text from documents you provide and generates audio from it, saved to your personal library together with your listening progress. The service is in an early release: features may change, and all currently available features are free. Paid plans may be introduced later; anything that affects your account will be announced before it changes.

Your account

You need an account to use ListenPDF. Keep your credentials safe — you are responsible for activity under your account. You must provide a working email address.

Your content

You keep all rights to the documents you upload. You grant ListenPDF permission to store and process them only as needed to provide the service to you — extracting text, generating audio, and saving your progress. Upload only content you have the right to use.

Acceptable use

Don’t use ListenPDF to store or distribute unlawful content, attempt to access other users’ documents, or interfere with the operation of the service.

Disclaimer

ListenPDF is provided “as is” during its early release, without warranties of any kind. Text extraction and speech synthesis are automated and may contain errors — don’t rely on the audio as a substitute for reading critical documents. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you have paid us for the service (currently nothing).

Ending or changing the service

You can stop using ListenPDF and delete your documents at any time. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms. We may update these terms as the product evolves; continued use after an update means you accept the new terms.
